“Beware of short-cuts…”

---Rick DuFour

In addition to being a place to go for digital, internet, and textual resources that we recommend and that you have recommended to us, the Center for Authentic PLCs (CAP) helps your school develop and sustain authentic PLCs by working directly with your teachers, administrators, and PLC coaches at your school site.

We recognize that, while the resources are very useful to schools pursuing this important work, real change happens at the school site, working elbow to elbow with the people involved.

For that reason, we favor on-going support, through time, rather than the one-shot presentation approach.

One School at a Time. Our goal at the Center for Authentic PLCs is to help schools attain the highest standard of effectiveness and teacher collaboration in order to make the greatest impact on student learning.

What Teachers Say

“This is one of the most (if not the most) significant workshops of information I’ve ever been to ... You kept it interesting the whole time.  I never got bored (which is unusual in a workshop).

Johnakin Middle School Teacher

Marion, SC

“I have learned something fresh and new every time I’ve been to one of your workshops (3rd time now) ... Thanks for the great ideas.”

Middle School Teacher

Bridgeport, IL

“Well, thank God we finally did something useful during a staff development ... It was the best use of my time during a staff development since I began teaching years ago.”

Ewing Middle School Teacher

Gaffney, SC

“Today’s session was extremely beneficial.

I learned to see classroom situations from the point of view of my students. I also acquired many strategies that will permit my low achievers to feel like good students

whose participation is valued.”

Chester Middle School Teacher

Chester, SC

"Today was just wonderful,
perhaps the best inservice I’ve ever had....How I wish ALL Algebra 2 teachers had attended this...”

Ardrey Kell High School Teacher

Charlotte, NC
